Two Camera Hunters’ Recent Captures, 1929

Created in 1929 when Virginia was 18 years old, this album shows her first steps into the world of photography.
Ernestine was her younger sister and is shown in several of the photos, as well as her mother, Felice and father, Ernest. 

Later, Virginia became very skilled at photography and published her images in many of her books.
Audubon, Canadian Nature magazines and especially the Living Museum, the magazine Virginia began and edited for 326 issues contained hundreds of her photos.
Notice the addition of her art to many of these pages, a sign she already took this seriously.
