Virginia’s Art

Hundreds of watercolors, sepia toned images, oils and watercolors flowed from Virginia’s hand. Larry Eifert, painter-son, says that the only way he kept up with it was to start young and stay upright. The amount of art flowing from the Eifert house reached a fever pitch when she proceeded to illustrate her novels. Famed-artist, Thomas Hart Benton, illustrated her first book, followed by another illustrator from the East, but after that her books were illustrated by Virginia. (and see her hand-painted Christmas cards)
